In the provision of care and support to ill and injured personnel, the Canadian Forces (CF) are far ahead of where they were ten years ago. As part of an ongoing process to improve the level of services, the CF has established a network of support centres to meet the needs of ill and injured personnel from the Navy, Army and Air Force, providing them with an integrated “one-stop service.” The support centres, known as Integrated Personnel Support Centres (IPSCs), operate under the Joint Personnel Support Unit (JPSU), which is headquartered in Ottawa. Troops graduate at LFCATC Meaford

The Hill 70 Platoon graduated from the DP1 Infantry course at LFCATC Meaford last Friday afternoon. As part of the ceremony the troops performed a march past for the Reviewing Officer.

A Canadian soldier received a hero’s welcome at Rolling Hills P.S. May 21, when he came to meet three students who had been writing to him since November.
Corporal Rikk Lewis, of the 3rd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment, is originally from Nova Scotia. He has served three tours of duty so far in Afghanistan, but last week he was treated like a rock star, being swarmed by students requesting pictures and autographs.
